PSA: I Have a New Job!

by pratt on March 13, 2008

I’d like to announce that I have accepted a position with a online and offline marketing group in Austin, Texas named nFusion. I’m really excited to help grow their SEO business, and I’m looking forward to moving from Pittsburgh to Austin.

If there are any SEO’s in Texas (especially you, Daniel!) give me a shout in the comments or email me at pratt.taylor [at] gmail [dot] com. I’d love to get together sometime and chat!

Regular blogging will resume tomorrow, but I just wanted to clue you all in on this BIG change in my life!

Congrats … though, with that flash website, you may have a hill to climb ahead ;-)

pratt March 13, 2008 at 2:40 pm

Haha, thanks Rae. I’ll be the first SEO on board there so it will be interesting.

Ross DUnn March 13, 2008 at 2:43 pm

Congratulations on the new job pal. nFusion has made the right choice. Good luck on the move and the new surroundings. If I am ever out that way I will have to take you for a brew. Cheers. Ross

Thanks, Ross! I’ll definitely be taking you up on that offer if you head down there sometime.

Congrats! You’ll love it there. Just watch out for the scorpions!!! :-)

I’m bringing along a hockey stick and a pellet gun for extermination purposes.

Congrats, Taylor! I hope you’re ready for 100+ degree weather, humidity that just won’t quit, and endless summer daylight! Oh yeah, there’s music, art, and culture too… The question isn’t so much WHY would you move to Texas from Pennsylvania, but why did you wait so long?!?!

Rhea March 13, 2008 at 2:53 pm

Congrats!! New changes for lots of SEOs in the last week. :) Ditto on the flash site transition.

pratt March 13, 2008 at 2:53 pm

Good question, Daniel. I heard that the humidity in Austin isn’t as bad as it is in Dallas and Houston. Is that true? We’ll have to go to a hockey game next season when the Stars play the Pens (maybe even in the playoffs!)

pratt March 13, 2008 at 2:54 pm

@Rhea congrats to you as well and good luck!

Brian March 13, 2008 at 6:21 pm

pratt March 13, 2008 at 6:37 pm

@Brian – Thanks man, I hope you’re right!

Yeah!!!! I am so pumped for you and Apryl and your new life together in Austin! I wish you the best… but you know that already! Don’t forget your friends in Pittsburgh. The weather here may be cold but, in general, we are warm people!

pratt March 14, 2008 at 7:22 am

Thanks Shareen! I could never forget all of my wonderful friends in Pittsburgh. You’ll have to come down and visit! Good luck with your new job as well.

1) Scorpions rarely sting locals, so in 5-10 years you will be fine.

2) Ya, we need to redesign the site. Its already going on though, Flash-free!

3) Just to warn you, we can’t get Yuengling here. We do have Shiner and Real-Ale, pretty good substitutes.

4) No shoveling snow. Ever.

5)Welcome to the team, we a really excited to have you!

pratt March 14, 2008 at 9:43 am

@Craig – Haha, I’ll pass that scorpion tid-bit on to my fiancee. You have no idea how excited I am to never have to shovel snow again. It’s too bad about the Yuengling – maybe I can get it shipped down.

Thanks for the welcoming, I can’t wait to start!
